MEMS-based fiber optic pressure sensor (OPP M200—Bare)

OpSens’ MEMS-based fiber optic pressure sensor OPP-M is designed to measure physiological pressure in people and animals.

These tiny 0.20 mm OD sensors are intended for use in catheters, guidewires, and other devices that monitor physiological pressure in a minimally invasive manner. Its novel, patent-pending design reduces thermal zero shift and moisture-induced drift.

The bare optical pressure sensors are intended for customers who need a very small sensor or want to create custom sensor packaging in-house for their products.

The OpSens OPP-M200 is ready for integration. Depending on the OEM applications requested by the client, encapsulation may be applied to the sensor tip and/or the full optical cable in a range of materials and sizes.

OpSens’ specialized OEM team works with users to tailor their requirements, reducing R&D costs and integration challenges. This reduces the entire cost of production and commercialization.

By combining OpSens WLPI signal conditioning technology (patent #7,259,862) with the inherent advantages of fiber optic, the OpSens OPP-M addresses the medical industry's needs for long-term accuracy, low-drift, repeatability, and high fidelity pressure measurements in the presence of harsh EM, RF, MR, and microwave fields.
