MultiPep 1™: The Highly Flexible Automated Parallel Peptide Synthesizer

MultiPep 1™ from CEM is a highly flexible and affordable automated parallel peptide synthesizer. Using plates, columns, or cellulose membrane formats, the MultiPep 1™ has unprecedented flexibility for screening an infinite number of peptides simultaneously.

Flexible Formats

  • Plate: Up to 96 peptides ranging from 1 to 10 μmol
  • CelluSpots™: Up to 768 peptides are provided on a dissolvable cellulose support
  • SPOT synthesis: Up to 1200 peptides are available on a couple of cellulose membranes support
  • Columns: Up to 8 peptides ranging from 1 to 10 μmol or 48 peptides ranging from 10 to 300 μmol

Peptide Libraries

Peptide Synthesis with 96-Well Plates and Columns

With the help of MultiPep 1™, large libraries of peptides can be easily produced through a 96-well plate. Uses can also use mini-columns to generate up to 48 peptides concurrently. In total, eight bigger columns (2, 5, or 10 mL size) can be utilized simultaneously.

Integrated Heating Module

Parallel Peptide Synthesis at Elevated Temperatures

High-temperature synthesis conditions can be applied to either 96 plates or well columns run on the MultiPep 1™. This procedure has been made easy, thanks to optional heating block accessories fitted with adjustable temperature control. High temperatures are handy for improving the purity of complex and lengthier sequences.

SPOT Synthesis

Peptide Microarrays

SPOT synthesis makes it possible to create an infinite number of immobilized peptides on cellulose membranes. This is useful for cell-based and solution-based assays as well as on-support binding studies. The MultiPep 1™ has a SPOT synthesis option that allows users to generate up to 1200 peptides in just one batch for high-throughput screening applications.

CelluSpots

Multiple Copies of Peptide Arrays on Glass Slides

Users can now effortlessly create many copies of a peptide array on glass slides. The CelluSpots technology combines the advantages of traditional SPOT synthesis with special dissolvable cellulose support for making many identical copies of a peptide array. This depends on the use of the unique Slide Spotting robot after SPOT synthesis on the dissolvable cellulose support.

Peptide Nucleic Acids

Optimized PNA Synthesis

The MultiPep 1™ is a powerful tool designed for small-scale synthesis where there is a need for useful monomers, such as PNA. Due to the small fluid delivery capabilities of the MultiPep 1™, users can perform PNA synthesis down to 1 μmol. In total, up to 48 smaller columns (250 and 500 μL sizes) can be utilized simultaneously.
