The TAR II's most crucial function is to do 100% USP-/EP-compliant friability testing, which is highlighted by the high-resolution 7-inch touch screen and contemporary user interface. The advanced scale connection feature transmits and computes the data immediately, and TestAssist's automatic calculation capabilities walk the user through the testing procedure as fast as feasible, step by step.

The TAR II is the most versatile friability tester ever created, and it is easy to use. The finest part is that everything can be adapted at a later time. It can be set up with one or two test stations and the optional smart scale. Also included is a stand for the 10° position mandated by USP/EP.

  • 100% USP / EP / JP compliant
  • One or two test stations
  • TestAssist with automatic calculation
  • Intelligent balance connection with data transfer

TestAssist with Automatic Calculation

Friability and abrasion testing is now easier and faster than ever, thanks to the specially designed testing assistant. TestAssist provides a variety of possibilities with its three testing modes: revolutions, time, and USP test. It guarantees that every parameter is configured accurately in each of the three modes. When in USP testing mode, TestAssist calculates the results automatically and even initiates a test repetition under USP criteria.

TestAssist guarantees parameter validity in every test while saving time.

Direct Balance Connection

Supported balance can be seamlessly integrated into TestAssist with the optional direct balance connection. TestAssist prompts the user to place the samples on the balance while a test is being set up with TestAssist and a connected balance. The balance data is then automatically received and used for its fully automated calculation.

This speeds up testing even further and removes another potential source of error.

The following balances are supported:

  • Sartorius Praktum 124-1S
  • Sartorius Quintix 124-1 CEU
  • Mettler Toledo ME54

Reports

TAR II TestAssist automatically generates reports following each test. These reports can be printed automatically. The last 10 test reports can be recalled and printed out again.

Upgradeability

The TAR II can be set up with one or two test stations, though it is possible to upgrade from one to two in the future. The optional intelligent weighing function can also be retrofitted.

ERWEKA has never created a friability and abrasion tester as adaptable and future-proof as the TAR II.
