Up to 8 liters of dissolution media may be prepared quickly and easily with the MediPrep 820 series in less than 15 minutes. The MediPrep 1622 prepares dissolution media three times faster than manual preparation - in just 25 minutes - meeting USP requirements.
It is possible to accurately mix, heat, degas, and gravimetrically fill vessels with the media for dissolution tests in a single pass. Foaming media like sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) can also be utilized.
With the optional remote filling hand, containers can be filled directly or through the inbuilt dosing connection.
The MediPrep 1622 also features a wastewater outlet and two premixed media inlets. To avoid cross-contamination, an automated cleaning procedure is incorporated.
At a filling accuracy of 1% for capacities between 500 and 2000 ml, measurements for 250 ml occasionally fall short of requirements. The company advises using the MediPrep 1622 filling procedure with at least one extra vessel to guarantee a correctly filled 250 ml vessel. The extra filling should be discarded if it does not meet the required precision.
