BSc Zoology

Ellie has recently graduated from the University of Lincoln with a Distinction in her integrated master’s degree in Zoology. As part of her degree, she studied topics such as cell biology, integrative biochemistry, veterinary parasitology, and conservation biology. Her master’s research project was an investigation into the immune response to avian malaria coinfection in wild birds, which increased her knowledge of immunology and parasitism and equipped her with valuable laboratory experience.
Ellie is passionate about science communication and education. This passion fuelled her involvement in the development of science education elements for a new toy range and led Ellie to her current role as a Freelance Science Writer at AZoNetwork. She particularly enjoys writing about science, as it allows her to explore a wide variety of scientific topics, whilst utilizing her critical thinking skills, creativity, and exceptional attention to detail.
In her free time, Ellie enjoys reading fiction, particularly crime and thriller novels, as well as getting creative with painting and drawing.
