Overview

Using the Visikol HISTO tissue-clearing technique, users can quickly and easily image tissues in 3D without changing the underlying cellular morphology.

Since the Visikol HISTO method is reversible and was created to work with immunolabeling, 3D histology can be followed by conventional 2D histology.

For 3D tissue cultures, the Visikol HISTO tissue-clearing method only needs Visikol HISTO-M to make tissues transparent.

About 15 mL of Visikol HISTO-M, with a refractive index of 1.48, is required to completely fill a 96-well plate of 3D cell culture models. If the 3D cell culture models are larger than 500 μm in diameter, tissue clearing with Visikol HISTO-1 and Visikol HISTO-2 is advised.
