PhotoAlginate® from Biomatrix is 10 mL of sterile, methacrylated alginate (2% solution with 0.5% LAP) bioink that has been utilized for 3D Bioprinting with the BIONOVA X.

Methacrylated Alginate is a beneficial tool, as it could be crosslinked with calcium or light.

Advanced BioMatrix provides PhotoAlginate®-INK, a methacrylated alginate for photocrosslinkable hydrogels or for blending with other photocrosslinkable hydrogels (like PhotoGel, PhotoCol, or PhotoHA).

PhotoAlginate® is known as a 2% solution along with 0.5% LAP and can develop 3D gels and can be made at several concentrations and photocrosslinked to offer several gel stiffnesses. PhotoAlginate® seems to be special in that it can also be crosslinked with calcium. This ink has been pre-formulated along with LAP to be printed with the BIONOVA X bioprinter.
