Overview
TeloCol-3 from Biomatrix is a 50 mL of 3 mg/ml, type I bovine telocollagen solution developed for 3D hydrogels or 2D coatings.
The kit is available with a neutralization solution for simple handling. Since it is telocollagen, TeloCol-3 will develop harder hydrogels and gel considerably faster compared to atelocollagen solutions having the same concentration.
TeloCol®-3 bovine collagen solution has been derived from an acid extraction process providing a telopeptide-intact collagen. TeloCol® seems to be soluble telocollagen in 0.01 N HCL. The telopeptide regions present at both ends of the collagen chain, N- and C-telopeptide regions, are retained.
TeloCol®-3 collagen is nearly 95% Type I collagen with the leftover being made of Type III collagen. Every product consists of a bottle containing 50 ml of collagen solution joined with a bottle of pre-formulated neutralizing solution for the development of a collagen gel.
This product has been supplied at a concentration of around 3 mg/ml. TeloCol®-3 is sterile filtered and offered in easy-to-use packaging for use and storage.
TeloCol®-3 is perfect for coating surfaces, offering the making of thin layers for culturing cells or using them as a solid gel.
